Our Services

Mental Health First Aid (Adult)

Equip your team with the skills, knowledge and confidence to support someone experiencing mental ill-health at work.

Mental Health First Aid training teaches attendees how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental illness, how best to support someone experiencing poor mental health or crisis, and where to signpost them for further help. Attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect our wellbeing.

Attendees are awarded a Mental Health First Aider qualification upon completion of the course, accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health.

The course covers:

  • An introduction to mental health and the MHFA action plan
  • Understanding various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and psychosis
  • Supporting someone who is experiencing thoughts of suicide
  • Helpful signposting resources

It is a 16-hour course, either run virtually (usually as 4 x 4-hour live sessions) or face-to-face at your workplace (across 2 x full days), and suits staff at all levels. We particularly recommend it for managers, HR teams, and anyone with an interest in supporting mental health at work.

How many Mental Health First Aiders should a workplace have?

There's no legal ratio for Mental Health First Aiders however many organisations aim for roughly one trained first aider per 50 staff members. We understand your workplace is unique and tend to make a recommendation once we know you better!

We take into consideration other types of mental health initiatives you have in place, the industry you work in, where your staff members are based, the working patterns of your teams, alongside any other relevant information you can give us.
