Loneliness is a feeling of sadness that accompanies being alone or without a social network. If prolonged, it can be a prominent risk factor for mental illness.

When the pandemic hit, staying connected to others became more of a challenge and rates of loneliness increased. And although many restrictions have now been lifted, the world and the societies we live in have changed.
