Our negative emotions have evolutionary significance: they can help us understand when a situation could be dangerous, when we need to make a change, or when something is to be avoided.
These emotions may be challenging or uncomfortable but, research tells us that, if we don’t process or allow ourselves to confront these feelings, it can impact our mental health down the line. In this session, we aim to build an understanding of our emotions, learning tools to build self-awareness, and to successfully manage the many emotions we experience.
