Our webinars and seminars (60-minute keynote talks, delivered via either videoconference or in-person) are one of our most popular services here at Luminate!
This is perhaps because we offer a wide range of sessions: from avoiding burnout and building resilience, to overcoming imposter syndrome and menopause in the workplace.
Or perhaps because they pack a lot of punch for a relatively small-time investment – each hour-long session aims to give your team accessible and actionable takeaways, as well as a few sprinkles of inspiration. ✨
But, because our facilitators only have your team for this limited amount of time, we want to help ensure that our webinars have a meaningful impact that extends beyond just those 60 minutes.
So, here are a few tried and tested ways to get the most out of your wellbeing webinar:
In the lead up to your webinar, raising awareness of the event (what the session is all about, as well as when it’s occurring) is vital for driving attendance.
We supply our clients with a session outline and facilitator bio designed to be circulated for just this purpose, but there are a few other ways of making your webinar unmissable:
Our webinars include elements of interactivity and (time permitting) incorporate a Q&A at the end. We find that creating space for conversation allows attendees to engage with the content on a more personal level.
But as the saying old goes, ‘you get out what you put in.’
You may therefore want to highlight to staff that, though they will never be called upon or singled-out, they may want to reflect in advance of the session as to whether they have any questions or curiosities about the subject at hand. Our facilitators are experts in their fields and happy to answer any and all queries – and we are always keen to give attendees the opportunity to ask questions anonymously where possible. ☺️
That being said, it is important to stress that there is absolutely no pressure whatsoever for attendees to interact should they feel uncomfortable or disinclined to do so.
Sessions may only last 60-minutes, but we recommend booking an hour and 15 minutes into your staff’s diaries.
This extra 15 minutes post-event allows staff to sit with and digest what they’ve just learned. It offers a little break after a focused hour of learning. Plus, it’s just one more way to demonstrate that your company factors in the wellbeing of its employees.
In the week (or weeks) after the webinar, ask managers to factor in a couple of questions about the session in their employee 121s:
A single session has impact, but multiple sessions can fundamentally change a perspective, change an approach, even change a life!
For individuals to take their learnings forward and incorporate new habits and sensibilities into their lives, we recommended booking your webinar in a bundle with other similar sessions that support and drive forward the mutual goals and will enable attendees to build out tools and techniques.
Consult with your account manager to find out which sessions might best suit your needs and complement one another.
