Businesses need a comprehensive employee health and wellbeing programme. Our free toolkit makes starting one easy.

We are here to help you build a compelling business case for an employee wellbeing programme.wellbeing business case

The need for businesses to have a comprehensive employee health and wellbeing programme is widely understood. Especially now, as the permacrisis (here referring to the after-effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis, deeper divisions appearing in society, stories of war flooding our newsfeeds, etc) has brought more clearly into focus and undoubtedly exacerbated the mental health challenges employees face.

The efforts made by HR teams and people managers during this time – to protect the wellbeing of their workforces – have been amazing (woop woop!) with Simply Health’s Health and Wellbeing At Work Report 2023 report finding a steadily growing number of businesses (currently 53% of respondents, increasing by an average of 2.6% YoY since 2018) implementing a standalone wellbeing strategy to support their teams.

This, however, still leaves plenty of room for the remaining 47% of businesses to do the same. The report also finds that mental illness (alongside musculoskeletal issues) is the top cause of long-term absence from work, and that levels of sickness absence are the highest in a decade, at 7.8 days per employee per year!

These figures demonstrate both the need and opportunity (with 70% of respondents identifying employee health and wellbeing as part of their employee engagement and retention strategies) to protect, support and invest in employee health.

And, that is why we want to make creating and implementing an employee wellbeing strategy as easy as possible for you…
