We are here to help you build a compelling business case for an employee wellbeing programme.
The need for businesses to have a comprehensive employee health and wellbeing programme is widely understood. Especially now, as the COVID-19 pandemic has brought into focus and undoubtably exacerbated the challenges employee mental health faces.
The efforts made by HR teams and people managers over this time – to protect the wellbeing of their workforces – have been amazing (woop woop!) with Simply Health’s Health and Wellbeing At Work Report 2021 report finding a brilliant 87% of respondents taking additional measures to support employee health and wellbeing in response to the pandemic.
But employee wellbeing must remain on the agenda, beyond the urgent need for the reasonable adjustments that COVID-19 created.
The same report found that mental illness and stress are within the top three causes of long-term absence from work, with 45% of respondents stating that their mental health had worsened during the past year (with a comparative 8% stating it had improved). These figures demonstrate the on-going need to protect, support and invest in employee health.
And, that is why we want to make creating and implementing an employee wellbeing strategy as easy as possible for you…
We have created this toolkit to help you structure your business case for a dedicated employee wellbeing programme – whatever that may look like for you and your workforce.
It is designed as a series of questions you’ll need to answer in order to put your best case forward, and accomplish the following:
~ Evidence the need for wellbeing and mental health supports in the workplace
~ Demonstrate return on investment
~ Map out what you aim to achieve with your wellbeing programme (top-line)
~ Get emotional and financial buy-in from leadership
